Job Description

About the Opportunity

\n

Our client, a global investment manager with a long-standing focus on real assets, is seeking an Associate Director, FP&A and Strategic Finance for its New York City office. This role serves as a strategic finance partner to the firm's private real estate platform, covering financial modeling, forecasting, capital planning, liquidity, valuation oversight, and board-level reporting for an SEC-registered non-traded REIT and related vehicles. It combines the stability of a large, established manager with a newer, fast-growing business line in private real estate. The hire will work closely with acquisitions, asset management, accounting, investor relations, and executive leadership, with real room to shape the role. The position follows a hybrid schedule with four days in the office.

  • \n
  • Prepare executive-level analyses and board materials covering financial performance, liquidity, dividends, acquisitions, and portfolio strategy

  • \n
  • Hands-on financial modeling experience (building models, not only reviewing them), including forecasting, liquidity forecasting, capital planning, valuation oversight, and portfolio and asset-level analytics

  • Process-oriented, with experience in controlled environments and strong attention to detail
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across finance and investment teams
